It was one thing to let the swarthy skinned people sit anywhere on the bus, as long as we didn't have to ride the bus. It's entirely another thing to force us on the bus wit'em. Public transportation threatens all that's holy and sacred.

The wealthy deserve subsidized new cars little people who can't afford "new" deserve the shit they have to drive. That's just the way it is.knowdoubthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11647184346948896676noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5099635.post-9333116549459156172009-08-10T04:31:03.157-04:002009-08-10T04:31:03.157-04:00good one ....thanks for sharing..

And I don't think he's a liberal. So shut up. Shut up! SHUT UP!!

But seriously, I live in a city where there IS public transportation -- trams that run down the streets in the city centre and nearby suburbs, plus electric trains that go out to the areas within 20 to 40 km outside the city. Hundreds of thousands of people ride it daily. It's like what you and this Clusterfucking Kunstler guy recommend.

We own a car, but I take the trams to work almost every day. Don't ask me why. OK, it's because my wife wants to use the car because she doesn't like the trams.

Yes, I admit it -- I have to ride public transport because I can't beat my wife with my fists and force her to give me the car keys! There are laws against that. It's the source of my secret shame, every minute I'm sitting on the tram pretending to read the newspaper as the driver rolls down the tracks past the cars stuck in traffic. I might look like I'm relaxed, instead of gripping the steering wheel in frustration over the delays and how much petrol I'm burning. But inside I'm crying.

And it's more than that. You see, on public transport, I have to sit near other people. Often they have swarthy skin -- lots of Indians in this town, real curry-munching Indians, not the fake Christopher Columbus Indians you have in America -- and some of them are even Pakistani. And you know what that means. (Uslim-may! Uslim-may!) They jabber in their strange languages. They might be talking about me.

At times when the tram is crowded, they sit on the same bench seat as me. SOMETIMES THEIR ARMS OR LEGS EVEN TOUCH MINE! Plus I have to take me feet off the seat across from me and I can't fart whenever I feel like it.

Public transportation is hell, Cline. And that's what you want? Why do you hate America?!?Bukko Boomerangerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02424677168216647964noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5099635.post-44215554642193472882009-08-09T16:56:10.258-04:002009-08-09T16:56:10.258-04:00Comrade Clineheimbergdorfsitzgoldfarb:

It's called "Sawbucks for Shitboxes" and it was goin' fine until the gubmint got their meathooks onto it. Now I gotta compete with them, offering a deal that I can't match without losing at least half of the obscene profits I was gonna make.
