  2. Don't forget these:

1927: Supreme Court declares constitutional Virginia statute permitting forced steriliaztion of the “feeble minded” when found to be “promiscuous.” Justice Holmes noted: “Three generations of imbeciles are enough.”

1927: Sacco and Vanzetti prosecuted officially for armed robbery; convicted and electrocuted for having Italian names.

1916: President Wilson warns of “Hyphenated Americans (who) have poured the poison of disloyalty into the very arteries of our national life. Such creatures of passion, disloyalty and anarchy must be crushed out.” The Palmer raids begin.

1912: Woodrow Wilson, first Southerner elected President since Civil War. He institutes widespread segregation rules throughout the federal government.

1907: Indiana becomes first government in world to enact law for forced sterilization of undesirables. 20 states follow suit. Indiana to this day allows guardians to have ward sterilized without court order.

1876: With Reconstruction beginning to be dismantled, Southerners begin enacting various Jim Crow laws.

1843: The Know Nothing Party is founded in New York to combat the influence of Irish Catholics (and later all other “Anti-Native Born” influences). The Know Nothing Party eventually became part of the Republican Party, and seems to be the only part remaining in that party today.

1831: Southerners cannot accomodate the 5 Civilized Tribes, so they force resettlement to the Western Territories in the Trail of Tears

1826: Jefferson’s University of Virginia opens. Faculty of Law School required to take oath that Missouri Compromise was unconstitutional because federal government could not prevent slavery in the territories.

1798: Alien and Sedition Acts passed.

  3. Well at least the California State Supreme Court is sticking with fine American traditions, instead of going off half-cocked and doing something liberal...

  4. General, Sir:

I don't mean to find fault with you or your loyal webmaster, but I haven't been able to access this site for several days. Everytime I would get to the front page and click on comments, I would be given an error notice that ti couldn't be opened and then the page would fail. That happened again, just now; and yet, suddenly, here I am. WTF?

Sorry, Sir, I just had to get that off my manly, well-furred (only sissyboys depilate their body hair) chest.

Now, then, to the matter at hand. I think it's a swell idea that the Supremes are against teh GAY Mawwiage before they are for it. After all, it would be unseemly to have the institution of mawwiage sullied by those who are not upstanding, moral, KKKonservative KKKristians. Well, I mean except for the blacks, the Cath-O-Licks, the jews, the buddhists, the blind, the halt, the lame, the weak and the impotent and unfertile. Because the institution of mawwiage that has been whitesome, delightsome and unbreakable must not be endangered.

Because, Sir, if Prop. 8 had been tossed by the SCofCali the earth would have ceased to proceed in its ordered course through the heavenz.

I'll bet Michael Savage is pissed that he didn't take advantage of the loophole to marry his best friend--or manwhore.

  5. Let's not forget the decades of legal private militia(frontrunners of Blackwater/Xe)in the employ of the plutocracy, authorized to machine gun miners on strike, sodbusters in the way of the railroad, vets looking for promised benefits. Without these barons and their special relationships with DC and its courts, who knows what America would look like now?

    Democommie-
I'd take this whole thing personal if I were you. Everyone elses' innertube connections have been perfect lately...

  7. Does that mean that those of us who are part of the 18000 are going to be put in some sort of segregated camp? Or on display somewhere? Y'know, as proof that the CA Supremes are "open-minded"?

Hey, do you suppose gays in CA will next have to have separate drinking fountains and separate seating in restaurants and have to sit at the back of the bus? All time honored actions, you know!

  8. So essentially what they're saying is that if one person has a stick of gum, they can chew it in front of everyone else because they got the gum before the store closed. Brilliant.

  9. General, Sir:

I just finished reading, "Lamb, The Gospel According To Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal", by Christopher Moore and in that book he says that back in Old Testicle times they called women who were divorced or even just uppity, harlots. That sounds like a great idea. I betcha there's a lot more than 18,000 harlots in the OC, alone.

  10. I think you're supposed to suck on the gum until all that's left is a tasteless, gooey mass that will vote against gay rights.

  11. Moondancer, that was no private militia shooting and bayoneting veterans seeking their promised bonuses, that was the U.S. Army - lead by Gen. Douglas MacArthur and Maj. George Patton, no less!

  12. Right you are Rev. I was carried away with images of Pinkertons machine gunning coal miners and factory workers on strike, and forgot Black Jack unleashed the army to kill right on the Mall. Good entertainment for the Hill critters. I think the battle-cry of the day was: "I got yer civil rights right here...".
