The General thanks MJS, AC, and Maddi for filling in while he was freeing Senator Santorum from the grip of militant homosexuals armed with box turtles blessed with purdy mouths. You were great.
I also salute the fine officers of the Seattle Police Department, the Washington State Patrol, and the unidentifiable security personnel dressed in military style camouflage and Brooks Brothers suits who so bravely defended the National Governors Association's conference against an obviously threatening collection of state employees and wheelchair-bound disability advocates. Due to the vigilance of these modern day Praetorian Guards in blue, black, and desert pattern, the governers and their "corporate partners"--the latter easily identified by the "National Governors Association Corporate Sponsor" badges they wore around their necks--did not suffer a seconds' delay as they made their way to the boats hired to deliver them to Bill Gates' house.
The General has always thought that corporate influence in government is good thing, and he did not see any irony in the fact that while the corporate sponsors wined and dined and pitched the governors, working people were forced to petition their elected officials from behind police lines a block away. That's how 21st century American capitalism works. Those who don't like it should accept the fact that there are two Americas and be happy that they're at least citizens of one of them. I am, and I take pleasure in my service to the ruling class.
