I loved your response to the elderly woman who asked that a state-sponsored prayer be replaced by a moment of silence at her local seniors center. You're to be commended. It takes a lot of guts for a good Christian man to face down a seventy year old woman and say:
You state it is not fair for you, or anyone else who is not a Christian, to have to listen to others prayers in order to have a nice meal with other senior citizens...If the atheist (sic) of Maryland want something different then I would suggest building an atheist Senior Center where you won't have to hear any prayers but leave my people alone.
The way I see it, if these people want to get a free meal from the state, then by God, they should also get a dose of the Lord whether they want it or not. But why stop there? Have you considered requiring baptisms for those seeking free cheese or perhaps a bit of serpent handling for those requesting food stamps? There must be hundreds of ways for the state to promote the One True Faith if you think about it.
Those, like this senior citizen, who complain about the required service to our Lord could be dealt with in the way that a righteous father deals with an unruly child. That is to say that they should be spanked. I think that would be your responsibility as a father of our Church-State. Have you thought about it? Are you willing to drive over to the Anne Arundel County Senior Center and spank this wicked old woman? It's your duty, isn't it?
Heterosexually yours,
General JC Christian, patriot
