Bethel Girls Academy
Dear Mr. Fountain,
While browsing your website, I experienced both moments of joy and concern. Your curriculum appears to be first rate--that is if the sample lesson you posted is representative of the curriculum as a whole. While it's refreshing to see that someone is still teaching young ladies to avoid wearing their hair in fancy braids or dressing in flashy attire, it's even better to learn that you are also stressing the importance of traditional gender roles. I'm referring to the part of the lesson which states:
Women cannot become teachers of the Word of God for they must learn in silence with all subjection. The women must not have any authority over a man, for Adam was first formed, then Eve.
God bless you, Mr. Fountain, for doing this. It will surely save a lot of good men from being subjected to the kind of insubordination and cutting comments many of us endure in our own marriages. The men these young ladies marry will never be subjected to unkind remarks about the fitness of their little soldiers, nor will they have to endure being called cruel nicknames like Tiny Boy or General Limpnoodle.
I was concerned, however, when I read your policy on abuse. I'm worried that you might be coddling these rebellious girls. Did the two separate investigations into mistreatment you've undergone in the last two years and the recent troubles at your sister institution, the Bethel Boys Academy, cause you to ease up? I hope not.
It appears to me that your policy might still allow for some of the same Christian-based disciplinary techniques allegedly employed at Bethal Boys Academy. I'm referring to waterboarding and electrical shock. I hope that's the case. I'm sure it's how Jesus would counsel us to deal with these rebellious children.
Heterosexually yours,
Gen. JC Christian, patriot
