In a major foreign policy statement penned for the conservative Weekly Standard, McGavick proposes banning the Iranian national soccer team from competition in this summer's prestigious World Cup:
If they are allowed to play this coming June, Iran will begin the competition in Nuremburg, Germany. Think of it! Nuremburg! In the same stadium, Frankenstadion, where the Nazi youth first practiced how to march in 1931, and right across the street from where the infamous 1937 Nazi political rallies took place, the Zeppelin Field.
It is insane to think that Iran, which has publicly declared that the Holocaust never took place, should play on that field as though nothing is wrong.
I couldn't agree more. How dare they defile the hallowed grounds of Frankenstadion with Iranian anti-semites. Nuremburg is one of the birthplaces of Aryan anti-semitism, and only the most racially pure anti-semites should be permitted to compete there.
McGavick is definitely on the right track -- Germany is no place for teams stocked with brown-skinned jew-haters. So not only should we ban Iran, we should also ban Saudia Arabia. And Tunisia. And Togo, and Ghana, Angola, Korea, Japan, Spain, Brazil, Portugal, Ivory Coast, Paraguay, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Trinidad & Tobago. Looking at the rosters, I wouldn't let England, France, Italy, Argentina or The Netherlands play either. (Not to mention the mongrelized Team USA.)
Hell, for that matter, I wouldn't let the German team play in Germany either, until they rid themselves of these two guys.
So hats off to Mike McGavick for having the courage to protect Americans from the spectacle of seeing non-Aryan anti-semites competing in Germany in a sport few Americans can even bother to call by its correct name, let alone care about.
