A nation of wussies

Dear Mayor Quiring,

You did the right thing by accepting the reasoned arguments made by your constituents in support ofrepealing your resolution establishing a Department of Peace. They were right. The establishment of a Department of Peace is nothing more than a "humongous push to get the United Nations’ foot in the door" so they can take away our sovereignty. And yes, it would turn Americans a "bunch of wussies."

Unfortunately, much of the damage had already been done. Within minutes of the resolution's passage, text messages declaring the US a nation of wussies suddenly appeared on cell phones around the world and foreigners began lining up for plane tickets so they could come over here and take our white women.

But that's not the worst of it. There's a very heavy psychological toll that accompanies the realization that you live in a wussy nation. My little soldier hasn't stood at attention since the vote--not even while I watched wrestling on the TV or when I saw 300 at the picture show. That's just not right.
