Steve Cervantes
Executive Director
Northeast Housing Solutions
Dear Mr. Cervantes,
One of the things a lot of us don't like about city housing authorities is they tend to pay way too much attention to quaint legal notions like those found in the Fair Housing Act, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (and 1968), and the 14th Amendment. Thank God Spokane's housing authority, Northeast Housing Solutions, isn't one of them.
At least that's what I gather from looking at your home page. I can just imagine how some of your city's browner citizens might react when they see it. Certainly, the Confederate flag depicted in the drawing of one of your units gives them a pretty strong hint that perhaps they should stop looking for subsidized housing in Spokane, and maybe renew their search somewhere else like Sandpoint, Hayden Lake, or Almost Heaven, ID.
Well, good luck, although I'll doubt you'll need it. The Justice Department's Civil Rights Division doesn't put much stock in those quaint legal notions anymore either.
Heterosexually yours,
Gen. JC Christian, patriot
