My favorite weapons: B61-11 Smart Low-Yield Nuclear Penetrator
My second post in my series on my favorite weapons systems.
Earlier today, when Commander Rumsfeld finally release the long awaited "Shock and Awe" campaign, an ABC reporter gushed that a "new penetrating bomb" would be used. I'm wondering if she was referring to the B61-11 Smart Low-Yield Nuclear Penetrator. It's the only new penetrating bomb of which I'm aware. Administration officials had previously argued for its use in Afghanistan. Maybe they finally got their way. I hope so. People would really fear us if we went nuclear. Fear, like greed, is good.
From the end of it's base to the point of it's hardened steel bunker penetrating head, the B61-11 is one of the most manly weapons in our arsenal. It's virtually unstoppable as it falls from its B-2 Stealth delivery platform to the earth where it deftly thrusts through foliage and penetrates into hidden passageways far below, deeply burying it powerful warhead before unleashing its .3 to 300 kiloton payload causing the earth to shudder in paroxysms of martial splendor.
I could use a cigarette right now. We can disuss the B61-11 in more depth later.
