The French have me surrounded
I've been invited to make an occassional post at The American Street (spliting Saturdays with Dirk Steele, my inner Frenchman). I'll be joining the following folks:
Angry Bear and Kash from Angry Bear
Bill Scher, Liberal Oasis
Chuck Currie
Dave Johnson, Seeing the Forest
David Neiwert, Orcinus
Digby, Hullabaloo
Fred Henning, Rantavation
Jeff Alworth, Notes on the Atrocities and Oregon Blog
Jeralyn Merritt, Talk Left
Kevin Hayden, Cowboy Kahlil
Luis Toro, Colorado Luis
Mary Ratcliff, Pacific Views and The Left Coaster
Mark A.R. Kleiman
Ross, The Bloviator
skippy the bush kangaroo
Tom Burka, Opinions you should have
I'm sure you noticed that all of the other contributors are French. That's OK. It's all about being fair and balanced like Fox News. When Fox started hiring journalists, they looked for the most thoughtful people around, folks like Fred Barnes and Bill O'Reilly, people who place integrity before partisanship.
After that first round of hiring, the Fox folks realized that all of their reporters and hosts were conservative. They needed balance, so they hired Mort Kondracke, a brilliant man who filled Fox's needs, perfectly.
I like to think of myself as being TAS' very own Mort Kondracke. I just hope I can do as much for the cause of conservatism at TAS as Mr. Kondrake has done for liberalism at Fox.
