Our Leader needs Congress' help

Like many conservatives, I've been concerned about the incredibly high deficits we've been incurring. I thought that Klinton might be responsible in some way, but now I've learned that the responsibility lies with Congress. They haven't shown Our Leader that they're willing to follow him if he chooses to lead:

A California Congressman is asking House Republicans for a written commitment to help President Bush control the federal budget.
[...]
"The importance of that one third plus one is that that's what's necessary to sustain a veto in Congress," [Rep. Chris] Cox said, "so President Bush will know when he gets this letter that if he wants to stand firm against overspending in Congress, he can make it stick because he'll have the votes."

There you have it. Our Leader is submitting deficit heavy budgets to Congress because they've failed to express support for a more reasonable budget policy.

I still think Klinton's involved somehow.
