What have you done for the Lord, lately?

I run into people everyday who claim to love the Lord with all their heart, but when I asked them what they've done to defend His word, they grow silent. You see, it's easy to say that you love Jesus, but just saying it isn't enough. You need to go out and fight for him like Angela Morris did recently when her boyfriend misquoted God's word.

Here's how AP reported it:

A woman is accused of pouring boiling oil on her boyfriend's face in an argument over a Bible verse. Angela S. Morris, 19, was charged with domestic violence assault and jailed on $250,000 bail. Her 31-year-old boyfriend, whose name was not released, was hospitalized with severe burns on his face, neck and chest.

Of course there are those among us who would say that Angela went too far. To them, I can only answer by paraphrasing the great Barry Goldwater, "Extremism in the defense of Jesus is no vice...moderation in executing his terrible vengeance is no virtue."

Our Leader knows this. That's why he does not question the Likud's policies in Israel. Does it matter if thousands of people are put out of their homes if it brings us closer to the fulfillment of prophecy? Is not the killing of children actually an act of worship if it prepares the Holy Land for our Savior's return?

Like Angela's use of hot oil in defense of the Word, these actions may appear extreme. However, they must be done, so that we might, once again, praise the Lord in his Temple in Jerusalem.
