Dear Rep. Heflin,
I want you to know that I'm praying that you succeed in your efforts to wrest your Nigerian maid's baby away from her. After reading about your appearance in court the other day, I have a very good feeling about your chances. Your argument that you could help the child with "the terrible problem that black male children have growing up into manhood without being in prison" was a masterstroke. What judge could resist an argument like that?
Perhaps we should try that approach with every black male child. As a legislator, you could pass a bill requiring that all black parents surrender their baby boys to good, white, Christian families. Such a program could end the problem of black male incarceration within a generation. We'd save the hundreds of millions of dollars now being spent on racial sensitivity training for law enforcement officials, and we would no longer have to hear the bleeding hearts whine about the need to reform our justice system.
