A little advice on marriage

You can't ever stop working on your marriage. It needs constant nurturing. Neglect leads to problems.

One of my favorite examples of this comes from a Dr. Laura listener. She was upset that her husband liked to read men's magazines. It made her feel like he no longer found her attractive. Her husband turned it all around with one simple act--he submitted her nude photo to Hustler's Beaver Hunt.

We are having some work done in our home, and my job was to clean out the area that is being worked on. This just happened to be the area where the [porn] magazines were kept. As I picked up the magazines to move them to another private place for my husband, I noticed what appeared to be a page ripped out of the magazine. Out of curiosity, I flipped to that page. I was overwhelmed to find that it was a picture of me in a somewhat sexy pose, that my husband and I had taken a year or so ago.

I felt so bad for feeling jealous and so happy that my man really DID want to look at me! I told him that I found the picture--as I made love to him last night.
