Unlike the Religious Right, which has thoroughly bought into the secular conservative agenda, [religious progressives] express our politics through communities and ways of life that by their very nature challenge the dominant narrative. A small, tolerant congregation that rejects the gospel of success preached by many of the mega-churches /is/ a political stand, a significant one in today's climate. The difference is that it provides an alternative, not a confrontation.
