The Michael Medved Show
Dear Mr. Medved,
Conservatism is in the midst of its own little Fallujah right now, and I don't mean that in a good, "turning-the-corner," "mission-accomplished," "sweeping-up-the-dead-enders" kind of way. I'm saying we're screwed.
Of course it isn't our fault. Contrary to what the francophilic media is reporting, Iraq, Predatorgate, Terri Schiavo, and the Cunningham/DeLay/Pombo free market approach to the legislative process were all inspired political acts. If anything, these issues are preventing us from performing even worse than we currently are doing.
The GOP needs look no further than in its own closets to discover the root of its problem, and unfortunately, I'm told that you're one of the people they'll find there.
Yes, as Cliff Kincade noted last week, closet Democrats have seized control of our beloved GOP, and, according to the seemingly Franken-obsessed Brian Maloney of The Radio Equalizer, you are closeted right there with them.
In addition to a few of your "curious ideological ambiguities" he fails to identify, Maloney offers the following evidence:
- You prefer CNN to Fox.
- You think Rush Limbaugh is embarrassing.
- You don't like Sean Hannity.
- You see a "distinct difference between NPR and Pacifica Radio."
Maloney's revelation now makes me wonder if your ties to Jack Abramoff were really as innocent as they seem. Were you simply a bystander when he laundered all that money through Toward Tradition or were you using your position as a TT boardmember to dig up dirt in the hopes of tarnishing the DeLay/Pombo Free Market Approach to Legislating?
I think you have a lot for which to answer. I hope you'll address it on your show very soon.
Heterosexually yours,
Gen. JC Christian, patriot
