National Abstinence Clearinghouse
Dear Mrs. Unruh,
Last night, while I was scanning through my radio dial looking for a repeat broadcast of the Rush Limbaugh Show, I stumbled across your interview with National Public Radio. It was the word "medical," that caught my attention. I thought that perhaps Rush was doing one of his hilarious, heroin-fueled rants against people who have parkinsons disease. Instead, it was you talking about Referred Measure 6, the South Dakota initiative that would have enacted the Only Good Christian Virgins Who Have Been Brutally Raped Can Get Abortions Law your legislature passed last Spring.
It was a good interview. You handled yourself very well, especially when you explained the measure's failure by noting that its supporters were too stupid to understand that they should vote "yes" rather than no. I thought that was a very astute observation. Far too often, we forget to tell supporters that our compelled childbirth measures won't pass if they vote against them.
I'm wondering if that's also what happened to the Republicans on Tuesday. For the life of me, I don't remember a single Rick Santorum ad that explained how the whole voting thing works. I bet a lot of Republican voters looked at their ballots and, not knowing what to do, cast their vote for Casey thinking that it would translate into a vote for Sen. Santorum.
We need to do a better job of educating our supporters next time.
Heterosexually yours (in a biblically approved kind of way),
Gen. JC Christian, patriot
