My Amazon review is finally up. It's currently the "Most Helpful Favorable Review." Help me keep it that way by giving it your vote.

More proof that furriners are undermining American morals.

  1. General, Sir:

Do you still have the tapes of the finns castrating reindeer with their teeth, or the ones they club the harp seal pups? Neither of those are as graphic.

  4. Hey! I recognize this disco clip! This is eerily like a scene from a Scifi movie (back before they decided to become cute with the spelling of their network).

There's this American kid, see, that inherits some land in romania and then goes there to take possession, only it's just a ruse to get him over there because there is a rock monster who wants to kill him and the rock monster's minions want to make sure the rock monster will ultimately be under their control once the American kid is killed, because the kid is really the only one left in the family that has the inherited power to destroy the rock monster. Anyway, the chief minion et al. are the spitting image of this disco man, his assistant, and his minions sitting in the background like mannequins. Too eerie for words!!!! one!!! eleven!!!

Whew! That was a long story! And, these people in the clip are scary. Also.

    jcricket: That's Åke.

I'll describe him as nationally known for just being a happy man at comfort in his own skin, which is mortifying for Finns. Some places can be swept in fact-preserving generalities, and Finland is one of them: I'm sorry to say that if there's a better nation on Earth, then I need to travel more. (Exchange student.) They all will give it five simpatico stars.

Åke Blomqvist. I'd place this as shot in the late eighties.

jcricket: (Åke is a very common name...in Sweden. In Sue-me it's like too French in the U.S. Also. [SA forum goon and Wonketeer?])

  7. Simony,

You may place this as a shot from the early eighties, I'm placing it as re-enacted in all it's fine cinematic glory as Scifi rock-monster-evil-man in a ritual performance with his minions. It's either that or Lech Walesa's twin separated at birth.
