Mormon Movie Night: "Oh, I so wanted to be an 8 cow wife."

Every Mormon teen is required to attend daily seminary classes. Tonight, we're viewing a classic film strip and movie from the seminary archives. Both shows are set in Lamanite (Jewish Indians/Polynesians) communities.

First, Johnny Lingo -- Johnny Lingo pays a whopping eight cows for his wife. Here's what one reviewer had to say about it: "We used to watch this after baptisms for the dead. Oh, I so wanted to be an 8 cow wife."



Next, Tom Trails, Episode 9 -- Tom Trails picks up his rifle and sets out to bear his testimony of the gospel to his neighbor, Sam. When Sam is found shot that night, Tom is arrested and sent to jail. Only the Elders and a vial of olive oil can save him, now.
