Swing state Catholic church refuses to hate homosexuals

The Vatican censored a Minnesota church this week after it endangered Our Leader's Catholic outreach plans by treating homosexuals with love and respect. The church, St. Joan of Arc in Minneapolis, was found guilty of crimes against the body of Christ after the Pope found homosexual-friendly pages on its web site (The Holy Father, a frequent contributed to the Free Republic message board under the name "h0m0h8er," often surfs the web late at night while wearing nothing but his miter).

An inquisition strike team composed of an archbishop and two bishops was immediately sent by the Vatican to show the Rev. George Wertin of St. Joan of Arc the tools of the Inquisition and ask him to remove the offensive material. While the speed of the response was impressive--decades faster than the Church's response to pedophilia in the priesthood--it doesn't appear to have been successful. The homosexual-friendly materials seem to still be on the web site (screencap below).

Wertin's actions are extremely worrisome to supporters of Our Leader because hatred of homosexuals is a central feature of the campaign's Catholic and Christian "Why Would Jesus Vote (WWJV)" outreach strategies. A tolerant and loving church undermines their message at a time when intolerant and hateful voters are desperately needed at the polls in battleground states like Minnesota.
