Recently, Brother Moonquaker noticed differences in Facsimile 2 in copies of the Pearl of Great Price published in 1968 and 1987. In the former, God (Figure 7) is depicted thingyless, as if His little deity had been cut off or, perhaps, tucked between His legs as one does when one gets drunk and does a little naked tucked-thingy dance. In the 1987 version, God sport's a majestic thingy, a rigid rod of great and terrible retribution.
What happened? Gentiles and apostates will tell you that the Church must have censored Facsimile #2 to hide God's little Yahweh.
I think something else was at work. I believe Figure 7, much like the Abe Vigoda Status Page, was accurately depicting God's reaction to contemporary politics in real time.
1968 was the last year of Lyndon Johnson's presidency, a reign that brought us such evils as the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Acts as well as the socialism of the LBJ's Great Society programs. Mormons aided LBJ in these acts of tolerancofascism and godless compassionism by casting Utah's 4 electoral votes for Johnson in 1964. They also continued to allow libislamunistofascist senator Frank "Ted" Moss to represent them in DC during that period.
No wonder God chose to hide His immaculate thingy.
By 1987, things had changed. Ronald Reagan was serving his second term in the White House and Orrin Hatch was now sitting in Moss's senate seat. Just thinking about it has my little soldier standing at attention. No doubt it had the same effect on our Lord.
Facsimile #2 with Figure 7 circled:
Figure 7 explained in The Pearl of Great Price:
7. Represents God sitting upon his throne, revealing through the heavens the grand Key-words of the Priesthood; as, also, the sign of the Holy Ghost unto Abraham, in the form of a dove.
