Reply from a factotum

A lot of people ask whether I send my letters. I do, but I seldom get a response. I don' know why I get so few responses because the advice I give is so useful. My hope is that various aides are passing the letters around as a kind of American samizdat. But then again, samizdat is a Godless commie word. and I'd hate to think my letters would be called that.

Only two of the responses have been posted on the web, one here at Jesus' General and the other at a couple of French blogs, one of which is now defunct--I can't link to the second blog because it was before the days of Jesus' General and my Inner Frenchman used his real name. I'll ask the damned Frenchman who runs it to redact my name when he returns from vacation. If he does, I'll provide a link.

Today, I got a response from DC Marshall, who appears to be an aide to DeForest B. Soaries, Jr, a man who divides his time between pastoring a church and planning the suspension of elections. My original letter to Pastor Soaries is posted here.

Here's Marshall's reply:

RETURN TO SENDER

Your email message did not reach the intended recipient.

Contact Joan Wooley or Brian Whitener at the Election Assistance Commission=20
202-566-3100 or visit the EAC on the web at www.eac.gov. =A0

Now you know why I so seldom post the replies?

Apparently, email messages do not reach the intended recipients when someone deletes them from the intended recipient's inbox and then pretends to be a server sending a bounce message using their home account.

Still, DC Marshall, who I suspect is Dee Marshall, Manager of Member Services at the First Baptist Sommerset Church, gave me the names of some of Pastor Soares' aides at Election Assistance Commission. I have Brian Whitener's email address, so I'll send him the original letter and see if I get a reply. I hope I do, because I really want a brown uniform.
